Monophonic bass instrument with tempo-synced wobble, acid squelch, and upright/electric/dub/acid/industrial tones.
Functionality
Basilico is a generator-friendly bass synth intended to sit under bassgen,
ground, and other MIDI sources. It combines stable bass pitch, glide,
velocity accent, body controls, and drive models across five bass characters.
Its wobble section can run free or tempo-synced, with separate amplitude,
filter, and phase/flange targets, while Squelch pushes Acid-style filter
snap and resonance into any model.
Status
This is still a little rough around the edges and rather eccentric in its sounds. It can do a general-purpose tame bass sounds as well as varieties found in electro-pop and acid/techno. The features intended to cover wobble bass as found in dubstep give interesting if not entirely convincing results.
